Lord of the Flies by William Golding
“No parents. No teachers. No rules… No mercy,” says the book jacket cover.
The book Lord of the Flies is very interesting because it is filled with a lot of adventures. It’s about a group of students from a military school. On the way home, their airplane crashes on a tropical island. While waiting for rescuers, they attempt to form their own government, but everything seems to go wrong. The main characters, Ralph and Jack, endure various hardships, as well as good times. Ralph is sort of the good guy that likes everybody. On the other hand, Jack is the kind of person that always has to have his way.
The type of person that would like this book is somebody that enjoys adventurous thrillers. I would also recommend watching the 1990 movie after reading the book. Certain things in the movie are different than in the book, but for the most part they are the same.
