Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac

Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac by Gabrielle Zevin

When high school junior Naomi falls on the stairs leaving the yearbook office the week before school starts, she loses four years of her life. Hitting her head causes her amnesia so that she has no memories of her life after she was twelve years old. She has to get to know her best friend and her boyfriend from scratch. Her parents have to tell her all over again that they got a divorce after her mother fell in love with someone else and had a new baby. Naomi feels like she is a totally different person, free to reinvent herself with new interests and friends. How she deals with her life presents a challenge she sometimes isn’t sure she can manage.
