Berkeley Public Library’s Summer Teen Program

Woo Hoo!!!

The Berkeley Public Library has another great reading program for teens starting in just a couple weeks.  If you’re going to read anyway, and who doesn’t over the long summer, you might as well collect some cool prizes along the way.  They are giving a free book for each book review you write, and awesome weekly and grand prizes like movie passes, comic book gift cards, an acoustic guitar and even a Kindle Fire e-reader.  I wish I could join, but I’m just a few decades too old!

Watch this blog for some great summer reading suggestions!

When

Friday June 15 – Saturday August 11,  online or in person at any Berkeley Public Library.  Sign-ups begin June 15th

How It Works

  • Write a brief review and submit it to any Berkeley Public Library branch.
  • Or, submit book reviews online.
  • Turn in at least 1 review and receive a free book, a $5 Pegasus Books coupon, and an automatic entry in the weekly teen summer raffle!
  • Each review entered after that will get you another book and another entry in the raffle.
  • People who turn in 10 or more substantial reviews are eligible for the grand prize drawing.
  • Our favorite reviews will be posted on the BPL Teen Blog.
