Ms. Goldstein-Erickson and Ms. Provence were happy to be able to spend the afternoon helping out at the community holiday meal on Dec. 12, 2012. We believe it’s important to support both our student leadership team and our community, especially during the holiday season. According John Villavicencio, Director of Student Activities, the numbers are as follows:
- estimated 351 guests dined on a warm meal.
- estimated 336 volunteers for one of three shifts logging at the minimum 800 service hours.
- estimated 25 turkeys, hams, and chickens donated for the meal as well as countless side dishes, drinks, gravy trays, cranberry sauce, etc.
The students did a wonderful job making the food court into a festive eatery.
The leadership students did an amazing job of serving the sumptuous food!
Ms. G. helped guests select warm clothing.
Greeting the incoming guests was Ms. P.’s favorite part.
